Transforming the abilities of many into value for all.

"Treat others with dignity, respect, honesty and sensitivity. Appreciate the value of diversity. Encourage and practice teamwork."
- The MBM® Guiding Principles

Building a diverse workforce is vital in helping us understand and serve our customers and our communities. We strive to recruit broadly to find talented individuals who can create value for us through their diversity of knowledge and perspectives. We partner with a number of organizations to cultivate a pool of diverse, qualified candidates:

National Association of Black Accountants

Since 1969, the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. has been the leader in expanding the influence of minority professionals in the fields of accounting and finance. The goals of the Association are as follows:

  • To promote and develop the professional skills of our members;
  • To encourage and assist minority students in entering the accounting profession;
  • To provide opportunities for members to fulfill their civic responsibility;
  • To ensure long-term financial stability and provide adequate resources to implement chapter, regional, and national programs; and
  • To represent the interests of current and prospective minority accounting professionals.

Association of Latino Professional in Finance and Accounting

ALPFA creates opportunities, adds value, builds relationships for its members, the community and its business partners while expanding Latino Leadership in the global workforce.  ALPFA is the premier Latino professional organization in finance, accounting, and other related professions.  ALPFA has active members, committed business partners, and quality programs to promote an important set of shared values:

  • Professional Growth
  • Relationship Building
  • Inclusiveness
  • Service
  • Integrity
  • Culture

American Society of Women Accountants

The mission of ASWA is to enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential so they can contribute to the future development of their profession.  Members include partners in national, regional and local CPA firms, financial officers, controllers, academicians, financial analysts and data processing consultants, recent college graduates and women returning to the work force.

Koch companies also support efforts to diversify the college campuses from which they recruit.  Koch Industries, Inc.’s recent commitment to Kansas State University’s Project Impact is one such example.  As KSU seeks to diversify its campus, Koch Industries supported this effort with a $180,000 grant to establish:

  • Relationship Recruiting, which provides funding to KSU for multi-cultural recruiters focused on developing relationships with potential multi-cultural students and providing information regarding the educational opportunities available at KSU;
  • Koch IMPACT Scholarships, to be awarded to qualified minority undergraduate students in Accounting and Finance; and
  • The Koch Diversity Faculty Fellow, which awards a fellowship to a faculty member in Finance and Accounting, to focus on retention of multicultural students.
