Preparation Is Key

  • Learn everything you can about the Koch Companies and the specific company you are interviewing. A good place to start is our corporate web site, You can read about our companies, our culture, and access recent news articles about Koch and its affiliated companies. This information will let you feel more comfortable while you are with us and will enable you to make a more informed decision about your career with a Koch company.
  • Gather your thoughts. You should be able to answer the following questions about yourself:
    • What do you want to do?
    • Where do you want to work?
    • What kind of working environment do you prefer?
    • What are your career goals?
  • Prepare questions for the interviewer. This time spent with us is your chance to “interview” Koch and Koch companies. Learn about the people you will be working with and the specific projects and activities you will be doing every day. This will help you decide that a Koch company is the place you want to be.

What to Expect

When we ask you to visit with us on site, you will meet at least one representative from the Human Resource Recruiting group, as well as individuals from various Koch companies. These Koch company representatives members are generally potential hiring managers or team members of the company in which you are being considered for a role.

Each interview meeting will last approximately 45 minutes. You should be prepared to answer both general questions about your background, as well as specific questions that will detail projects you have worked on or situations you have encountered in your previous employment. Try to provide as much detail as possible in your responses (ie: I worked on this project with these individuals, encountered this problem, solved it this way and then received this kind of feedback).

Following the Interview

After your day with us has ended, the Koch company representatives will meet to determine the results of your interview. Typically, you will receive communication of whether an offer with a Koch company will be extended or not within two weeks of your interview.
