Privacy Information for Koch Industries, Inc. and Affiliates Web Sites

Koch Industries, Inc. and affiliated companies (collectively referred to herein as "KOCH"), has adopted this privacy guideline for the entire KOCH group of Web sites. This guideline has been developed with the recognition that Internet technologies are rapidly evolving, and that underlying business models are still not established. Accordingly, this guideline is subject to change without notice.

Although we try to link only to Web sites that share our respect for customer and visitor information privacy, KOCH is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of Web sites to which it may provide links.

KOCH encourages the use of the internet and the KOCH websites. Below is information on what information may be gathered.

Anonymous Information: KOCH may gather anonymous information which does not personally identify you, but which may be helpful for improving the services we offer. Generally this information is collected through "traffic data" and may entail the use of "cookies," "IP addresses," or other numeric codes used to identify a computer.

Cookies: Like many other websites, KOCH may employ cookies to recognize you and your access privileges on certain sites as well as to track site usage. Cookies allow the KOCH server to recognize you when you visit our Web site in the future. You may be able to configure your web browser to notify you when a website is attempting to send you a cookie or configure your web browser to not accept cookies.

IP Addresses: Your IP address is the unique identifier of your computer on the Internet. KOCH logs IP addresses primarily for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes. KOCH may also use IP addresses to better understand how visitors travel to, through, and from KOCH sites to help improve web site structure, flow, and content, among other purposes.

Registration: Some KOCH web sites allow registration. When you register to receive services from a KOCH Web site or fill out a form to interact with KOCH, KOCH may require that you supply personal information such as your full name, street address, e-mail address, unique subscriber ID, telephone number and other relevant contact information. When you visit a registered KOCH Web site, we will track your site usage, including the pages you visit and other information that may help KOCH improve service to you. The method we use of tracking the pages you visit is either your subscriber ID and associated information, your IP address, or similar or related technologies. Regarding the Newsroom section, if you are not already entered in the National Outlet/Media database, the information provided during registration on the KOCH Newsroom section may be sent to the National Outlet/Media database provider. At a minimum, the information you provide, if sent to the National Outlet/Media database, may be published to other clients of the National Outlet/Media provider - KOCH does not own or control the National Outlet/Media provider database or data, its use, security, publication, availability or any other associated characteristics. Some KOCH web sites allow for the on line submission of resumes. Personal information collected from resumes will be used solely for the purpose of accepting and evaluating candidate submissions for job postings. This information may be shared within KOCH. KOCH reserves the right to grant or deny access to its web sites as KOCH deems appropriate.

Using the e-mail addresses provided at registration, KOCH may choose to periodically send e-mails to its subscribers. KOCH may contact you regarding account status, changes to the General Conditions and Legal Notices, for business purposes and to confirm registration.

Upon request, KOCH will (a) remove you and your personal information from our database, thereby canceling your registration; (b) correct personal information that you state is erroneous. Please be sure to include in your request the name of the site at which you registered and the e-mail address you used to register so that we can verify your request.

Data Security: To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to protect the information we collect online. Keep in mind that no security system is foolproof, therefore, you should exercise care and good judgment when transmitting data over the internet or filling out forms for any website.

Does KOCH share the information it gathers and/or tracks?

We do not release personal information about you as an individual to third parties, except when we have your permission or under special circumstances, as described in General Conditions and Legal Notices. KOCH will provide you all of your personal information provided at registration upon request. This information will only be sent to the e-mail address on file for the subscriber ID associated with it.

A Special Note About Children

We encourage everyone to visit our sites and learn about KOCH. However, children are not eligible to register to use KOCH's services, and we ask that minors not submit any personal information to us. If you are a minor, you may use this service only in conjunction with a parent or guardian. Parents or caregivers should become knowledgeable about software and other tools so they can assure that children’s use of the Internet reflects parental preferences and requirements.
